A sense of safety in the therapist-client relationship is essential to bringing about positive change and actualizing life goals.

Welcome to my practice. I am a New York State–licensed clinical psychologist with over twenty years of training and experience. I work with children and parents, adolescents, and adults throughout the lifespan. I bring a focused and engaged presence to the therapeutic process, along with a sense of humor and a strong belief that meaningful growth emerges through insight, reflection, and self-understanding. My work is psychodynamically informed and integrative in nature, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral and other evidence-based approaches as best suited to each client’s needs. I provide therapy in both English and German. I began my clinical training in 1999 as a field student at Mount Sinai Hospital’s Kravis Children’s Hospital Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Unit, where I worked with children at the bedside and in group settings using art- and play-based modalities. During this time, I also joined Beth Israel Medical Center’s Continuum Center for Health and Healing, where I worked for five years coordinating educational and community outreach programs and contributing to research and assessment in the field of integrative medicine. In 2003–2004, I served as a co-investigator on a research study examining integrative mind–body group treatments for depression, with a focus on improving mood, interpersonal functioning, health status, and overall quality of life.

I began my doctoral training in clinical psychology in 2000 and completed my predoctoral internship at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute. This training included work at the Bernard Pacella Parent-Child Center, PS 6, and The Lillie Devereux Blake School in New York City, as well as clinical experience on a psychiatric inpatient unit at Mount Sinai Hospital. After earning my doctoral degree in 2012, I remained at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute as a postdoctoral fellow, where I received advanced training in psychological testing and continued my psychotherapy work with adolescents, parents, and individual adults. I have been in private practice since 2012, with my current office located in Scarsdale, New York. From 2019 to 2023, I served as the consulting psychologist at the German International School in White Plains, New York (grades K–12) in addition to my private practice. I am currently solely in private practice, serving children, adolescents, families, and adults, seeing clients in person but also continuing to work with people remotely as needed.
