At different times throughout their lives, women may find themselves reflecting on familiar ways of coping, the roles they occupy, relationship priorities, or expectations that once felt manageable but no longer feel sustainable. Periods of change can bring greater awareness of emotional exhaustion, disconnection, self-criticism, or a sense of losing touch with one’s own needs. Therapy can provide an opportunity to step back from these patterns, deepen self-awareness, and approach relationships, responsibilities, and personal growth with greater clarity, flexibility, and self-compassion, while also considering what shifts or changes may feel important moving forward.
I work with women across adulthood and have a particular interest in helping clients navigate these periods of transition with greater self-understanding, flexibility, and self-compassion. Contemporary developmental research emphasizes that growth and meaningful change remain possible throughout adulthood, and that midlife and beyond can be a particularly rich time for reflection, re-calibration, and renewed purpose. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect more thoughtfully on long-standing patterns, relationships, and sources of stress, and explore new ways of moving forward while honoring the strengths and resilience you already bring.
